USING THE ARC & RACE GYM FOR TIGERSHARKS SWIMMERS
This is advice for TigerSharks families. Please speak directly with YMCA staff for any further enquiries.
All Swimmers Aged 12 & over in State Youth, National & Senior Competition A/B Squads should make sure they have a Teen Gym Membership by Tuesday, June 30th. (YMCA fees for Teen Gym membership will increase from July 1st). All swimmers in these groups on an Aquatic Child/Concession Membership need to upgrade at Casey ARC reception to a Teen Gym (full). If registering by June 30th, the fortnight fee is locked in at $19.15 (It will go up to $28 if registering from July 1st). If there is one adult on a Casey ARC membership, make sure you update your registration to a family oriented membership to take advantage of the new 20% discount. This would make a Teen Gym membership only $21 instead of $28 from July 1st and the adult fortnightly fee $28.
For an individual Aquatic Child/Concession upgrading to Teen Gym there is also a set-up fee of approximately $5. Athletes already on Teen Gym Restricted, must also change their membership to Teen Gym Full by this date. ALL athletes upgrading to Teen Gym AND all athletes already on Teen Gym must attend an Orientation Meeting, as a TigerSharks group at Casey ARC on:
- Tuesday 30th June 3pm ARC
- Tuesday 7th July 3pm ARC

Training Schedule
- June 15th Monday. New Training Schedule Starts!!
- All weekday morning sessions from June 29 till July 10th are 6:00-8:00am at both pools.
- James Away at Miami SwimClub June 29-July 4th.
- July 2nd Thursday. Senior Copmetition Squad training at Race 6:00-8:00am.
- July 3rd Friday. Club Night is at ARC 6:00-7:45pm!! Normal traiing for National RACE 4:15-6:45pm. Normal State Youth 4-6pm. Cub Night ARC for all squads.
- July 4 Saturday: State Target changed to ARC 11:30-1:00pm. Senior Competition Squad training with National Squad at ARC 4:30-7:00pm.
TigerSharks Training Scholarship
Applications are now open for the inaugral TigerSharks Swimming Scholarship. This is a scholarship for any swimmer, not currently a TigerShark member, aged 12years and over with the intention of competing at a high performace level. Valued at over $3,500.
Swim Team Tryouts
Spread the word that Coach James will be accepting tryouts for for new swimmers. There is a once off $50 bonus of reduced fees for any family that introduces a new swimmer to the club that actually becomes a memeber. This great offer so call James quickly and tell your friends. Most Successful National Age Team Ever !!
2009 Sydney Age Nationals is the most successfull TigerShark Team in the history of the club. The high performance results from the 10 individual swimmers were fantastic. 5 out of the 10 individual finished with individual medals with a total of 9 medals won by the team.
